The Boys from the Ruhr.

Walking down the Bridle path
Along the River Ruhr
Where the Ships are being loaded
For far off distant shores
The tide of time is changing
For the better or the worse
And this ….. is why we say

Chorus:

We’re the Boys from the Ruhr
And we love playing music
It keeps are minds off work
And helps us through the day
As we walk through our home town
Past Factories, Pubs and Churches
We’ll always feel at home
A place we want to stay

The Towns along the river Ruhr
Pubs and Castles too
Lit up every Friday night
It’s certainly a view
The beer is flowing strongly
And the food isn’t Irish Stew
And this ….. is why we say

Chorus:

The times they are a changing
As Dylan used to say
Walking past the closed down mines
The smog is going away
Craftsmen dressed in shirts and ties
Where man once earned their pay
And this …… is why we say

Chorus:
